Just because the entire year has been a horror show doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate great horror movies. This week we touch on many of our favorites and focus on William Castle, Stephen King, the films of the 1970s and 1980s, and classics like Rosemary’s Baby and The Exorcist and newer and lesser-known favorites! Click on the name of any movie on this week’s blog to buy it on DVD or Blu-Ray!!
But first…
As promised, here is the picture of Travis that we entered in Joe Bob Briggs’ costume contest.
Share your costume pix at our Facebook, Twitter or Instagram for a chance to win a DVD of Attack of the Giant Leeches (sealed classic collectors series.)
Also, as promised here are our cats Norma and Max (named for characters in Billy Wilder’s classic Sunset Blvd) watching Phantasm! Well, not exactly watching!

AND… we found some of our own schlock… the night we showed The Tingler on Super Scary Horror Theater, starring Kat Steel as Miss Dementia and guest-starring Samm Levine. I think after all these years we can reveal that yes, Travis in fact played “Butch.” Yes, that is the set we nailed to the wall in our house.
Castle bought the rights to the novel before it was released. Robert Evans insisted on Roman Polanski. dashing Castles dream to direct his one A-list picture, but he did produce Rosemary’s Baby.
